Q: Please tell us a little bit about your family.
Born and raised in Abilene.  Mother was a school teacher and counselor in Abilene for many years as well as a counselor at Hardin Simmons University and Cisco Junior College and is now retired. My Father, David Webb,  is deceased and was a CPA and in real estate in Abilene for over 40 years.  Real estate is in my blood.

Q: Please tell us about your current career. What led to it? What do you love most about it?
I have been in commercial real estate for over 20 years. I love owning my own real estate and ranching interests in Throckmorton, TX.

Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?
Hopefully semi -retired as I do not see myself fully retiring. I love the real estate world and enjoy the chase and excitement of every real estate transaction.

Q: Are you involved in anything, such as community groups or hobbies, that you really enjoy outside of work and family life?
I enjoy hunting, fishing, golf, snow skiing, ranching at our place in Throckmrton TX.  I also love to travel!

Q: What are a couple of your favorite restaurants in our community and what do you love to eat/drink there?
Anamias and 1845.  I love so many things on Anamia’s menu; too hard to choose and when I go to 1845 I almost always go for a good steak and some nice wine.

Q: Who is the most interesting person you’ve met here in our community?
Bill Collins with Edward Jones (Flower Mound) I give him a hard time always but the man knows how to network and get things done.

Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be and why?
Italy- exploring wine, food and scenery.

Q: What book and/or TV show have you enjoyed the most during the last year?
The Ranch is a favorite show and the book Good to Great was a great book.

Q: What advice would you give your younger self? Do you have a favorite quote or saying?
It is the little things that make the difference. Make time your friend not your enemy (especially in real estate world) You have to prove yourself at a young age. Show up early and stay late at the office if you have to. Hard work is not hard if you are willing to put in the hours to find success especially in sales and real estate.

Has anything interesting/challenging/unusual happened in your life that has shaped you into who you are today?
I have had a few personal/family tragedies in the last five years that have been rough but I have learned more about myself as a person and I have learned to say “No” more often and not pass judgement.

Q: What is something on your bucket list?
Traveling to Argentenia, Alaska, Italy.  I’d like to get these checked off in the next 10 years.

Q: If you could have a super power, what would it be?
Help those that need help when they are down and trying to make it through life’s struggles.

Freedom Title and Independent Financial Bank.

Q: What is something interesting that most people don’t know about you?
I worked my way through Texas Tech and paid for half of my college and fraternity dues. I drove a beer truck for two summers while I was in college. This helped me value a college education and made me appreciate a hard day of work.

My children inspire me to be better with their kind spirit and Christian beliefs.
